New fields can be created on your Radicle account or uploaded via shapefile import.
Start by selecting the + sign in the lower right corner of the map to create a new field
There are three options for creating a new field:
- Create New Field: Directs you through the processes to create a new field in the Radicle App
- Import Files: Upload a shapefile of a boundary, target points, or sampling zones. The field does not have to be created first to import field files into the app
- Import from Panorama: Field lists and boundaries in Panorama can be imported directly into the Radicle App
If Import Files is selected, the shapefile import window will appear. Reference Importing a New Field for further instructions. If Create New Field is selected, you will be prompted to create a new Client, Farm, and Field name, or select a Client or Farm from the existing list. To choose from the existing Client and Farm list, click the down arrow next to each. To create a new Client or Farm, click on the Client or Farm row to enter a new name.
If Create New Field is selected, after naming the new field you will need to create a new activity on the field before proceeding with boundary and sampling map creation. Once the new field is named, open the field menu on the right side of the page and press New Activity. Reference Activities for more information on sampling activities.
