Install the sidewall assembly by placing the wooden posts in the four corners of the base. a. There are long and short ends of the sidewall assembly. Make sure it’s oriented properly b. Rotate the posts so the slots in the top of the post point AWAY from the center of the bag (see image below)
Install the two large metal supports on the shorter sides of the sidewall assembly a. Use a hammer to secure the wooden posts into the metal spike located underneath the supports
Attach the long metal supports by sliding it onto the tabs located on top of the short supports a. Once installed, hammer the tabs over to secure the two supports together
Insert the plastic spout on the bottom of the settling bag into the hole in the middle of the sidewall assembly. Point the spout under the sidewall and position it on the plastic collar located on the base
Unscrew the lid off of the top of the bag to remove it
Screw the lid assembly on to the top of the settling bag a. IMPORTANT: While screwing the lid assembly on, hold on to the bottom of the plastic collar and bag liner so the liner doesn’t get twisted around the lid assembly
Once the lid assembly is installed, plug one side of the lid and fill the other side with air to stretch out the bag a. Failure to do so will cause the bag to fill unevenly and fail prematurely b. Fill the bag with air until the liner is completely unfolded and the sides are tight
Use the bungee straps to secure the lid to the sides by looping the straps around the metal supports and hooking the ends on the collar of the lid. a. The straps with blue ends go on the long sides and the straps with black ends go on the short sides
Installation is now complete. Install waste hoses onto the bag lid. The “IN” and “OUT” ports are labeled on the lid. The hose coming from the Radicle Lab goes to the “IN” port, and the hose going to the designated draining area connects to the “OUT” port
