- Roll the rack to the front right corner of the lab and guide the rack into the inset of the lab in front of the elevator, aligning the slots in the frame with the elevator hooks.
Use a 1" wrench or socket to turn the upper and lower rack hooks counter-clockwise until the arrow aligns with the locked icon.
You should not need to use excessive force to turn the hook. If the hook does not turn easily with a wrench or socket, try adjusting the position of the rack side to side for better alignment.
- Check the alignment between the front of the rack and the front of the lab. There should be a slight gap that is the same width at the top and bottom of the rack.
Use the level adjustment screw on the back of the rack to adjust the alignment. Turning it counter-clockwise lowers the back of the rack and turning clockwise raises the back of the rack.
A misaligned rack can cause the sample elevator to be unable to pick up tubes from the rack. Ensure the rack is properly aligned for optimal lab performance.
